Important Kindergarten Information

1.  Attendance is important because of the many skills your child will learn in Kindergarten.  Attendance is regulated by the Robertson County Court System.  The school must receive notice of your child's absence and it is suggested that these absences along with tardiness and early dismissals be minimal if not avoided.

2.  We must have at least three valid emergency telephone numbers other than work or home for your child.  It is your responsibility to inform your child's teacher and/or the school whenever emergency information and phone numbers are changed.

3.  In order to complete your child's Kindergarten registration, the following information must be on file:

  • A copy of child's birth certificate
  • A copy of child's social security card
  • A completed shot record and physical examination from your child's Dr. or the Health Department (this is usually on a green or white card).
  • Proof of residence (electric bill, water bill, house or apt. lease).

Kindergarten Screening Information

All children entering Kindergarten in Robertson County are given a Kindergarten screening which lasts approximately 45 minutes.  A parent or guardian is asked to bring the child to school the day their screening is scheduled.  The parent/guardian will be asked to stay outside of the testing room but remain within the school during this time.  The teacher will briefly discuss the results of the screening upon completion.  This is NOT A TEST, it is a measure of skills so that the teacher is better informed of what Kindergarten skills your child already knows upon entering Kindergarten.
