It's back to school! I am excited to begin a new school year, and I look forward to having students come to the library once again. We will learn library manners, book care rules, parts of a book, and how to check-out a book.  Each day I will be reading GREAT books from our collection.  My goal is to promote the JOY of READINGThe love of books is a very important key to the success of children in school. Parental support and involvement will be needed to help reach this goal.

Mr. Wiggle's Book Care Rules

Do not scribble in a book

Do not tear the pages.

Do not read a book with dirty hands

Do not paste anything in a book.

Do not eat while reading a book.

Do not write your name in a school library book.

Do not allow a book to get wet.

Do not punch holes in the pages of a book.

Our reading incentive program "BRANSFORD READERS" will began on the first day of school.  The purpose of this reading program is to help our students get a good start in reading.  The goal is to read 100 books ( three books a week) by the end of the school year. I will provide a form for you to keep a list of the titles of the books read to your child. Prizes will be given for 30, 60 and 100 book read.
Get Fired Up About Reading
Dragon

Our reading Dragon is on the wall in the front hall. For very ten books read, a student will get a dragon scale with his/her name on it. We want our dragon tail to grow down the front hall and beyond.
