abcs_1_.gifWelcome to White House Heritage Sixth Grade Math

I am very excited about the 2010-2011 school year and I hope this year will be the best one your child will ever have in school.  With your help, we will conquer those fears about math.  Having 100 minute classes will help us internalize the skills to become better mathematicians.

Every Friday there will be a cumulative test which will cover skills that we have previously learned. The test will be returned to your child on Monday.  He/she should bring it home for you to see and discuss with them the questions missed.  Please sign it and return it on Tuesday or Wednesday and they will receive 5 extra credit points.  Your child will also have extra credit opportunites to complete the day of the test.  Encourage your child to complete all exra credit opportunities.

Absents always put your child behind.  Try to keep them in class if possible.  It is very difficult for a student to complete homework on math material they have not received instruction on prior to completing the work.
