Welcome to White House Heritage Sixth Grade Math
The lab will be held on Wednesdays, and Fridays in my classroom from 7:10 to 7:50 A.M. The lab may be extended to Mondays closer to TCAP time depending on the need.
Students do not have to sign up for this lab. The students need to enter my room by the side door with the dolphin hanging in the window. Students attending the math lab will receive extra credit which will be added to their grade at the end of each nine week period. This lab is for any sixth grade student, whether in my math class or Mrs. Pages class.
Every Friday there will be a cumulative test which will cover skills that we have previously learned. The test will be returned to your child on Monday. He/she should bring it home for you to see and discuss with them. Please sign it and return it on Tuesday or Wednesday and they will receive 5 extra credit points. Your child will also have extra credit opportunites to complete the day of the test. Encourage your child to complete all exra credit opportunities.
Absents always put your child behind. Try to keep them in class if possible. It is very difficult for a student to complete homework on math material they have not received instruction on prior to completing the work.
