Classroom Rules:

  1. KEEP YOUR CELLPHONES PUT AWAY IN CLASS.
  2. The school's code of conduct will be enforced.
  3. Have respect for the teacher and your fellow students.
  4. Come to class prepared to learn and participate.
  5. Be prepared to speak Spanish.
  6. Complete all work by the due date. (No late work will be accepted)
  7. Do not hesitate to ask questions.
  8. Clean up your area when class is over.
  9. Stay in your seat until the bell rings.
  10. Sleep at home, not in the classroom.

Grades:

  • Tests - Chapter tests are worth 100 points.
  • Vocabulary Quizzes - Vocabulary quizzes are worth 50 points.
  • Quizzes - Other quizzes (announced or unannounced) are worth 10 points.
  • Participation - Students will recieve a test grade (100 points) each semester for classroom participation.
  • Projects - There will be 2 projects throughout the semester. (Dates and Projects TBA)
  • Final Exam - 20% of final grade.

Extra Credit:

  • Students will be able to earn extra credit in every chapter by making flash cards for the vocabulary words.  You will receive 5 extra credit points that will be added to your vocabulary quiz grade ( 55/50 = 110%).  Vocabulary quizzes will consist of a list of words in English.  The student will be responsible for correctly filling in the corresponding word in Spanish, including definite or indefinite articles, correct spelling, and correct placement of accent marks.
