PTO Meeting minutes.
Pledge of Allegiance, led by Renee Harrington Minutes of last meeting read. Treasures report presented. Discussed the 501C 3 filed in July, the PTO will now be a 509 Public Charity. Paperwork has been submitted to the Nov. 14 will be the Chili Supper. Proceeds to be split with the cafeteria. PTO box in the office for donations or sponsorships. Have begun to look for donations & sponsorships for the golf tournament that will be held in April 2009. PTO to purchase a Sam’s card, to be able to buy in bulk. Motion made and 2nd. Passed. Meeting was adjourned. Pledge of Allegiance let by Renee Harrington Discussed date of next meeting, set for Nov 24 at Waiting on news of the projector to be fixed to continue with movie nights. Minutes read and approved. Treasures report given. Fundraiser information – we still have gray T-shirts available. Wind jacket pullover will sell for $30. Sweatshirts will sell for $15. Will take orders until Chili supper. Jerry Converse spoke in regard to the County standardized dress code. Kevin White, teacher’s representative shared suggestions/wishes from teachers. LCD Bulbs for laptop projectors. A color printer, toner for copier. Wireless microphone for school. Meeting adjourned. Officers met. Motion made and approved to have checkbook delivered to Kathy Murphy for ease in getting checks. Checkbook and statements to be delivered to Steve Pierson, CPA for review/audit. Will pay Steve $180 dollars at this time for previous help and reviewing books this quarter. Graduation, $250 to be given to LaDonna Hines for refreshment purchase. Books will be ordered for 8th graders. Discussed upcoming Talent Show. Admission to be $3.00, concessions everything will be $1.00. Judges are to be determined. Golf Tournament will be April 18 at The Legacy. If 2 flights are needed, dinner will be in between. 45 teams will be needed for 2 flights. Motion made and 2nd, approved for Mr. Rushing to be given $500 for band and choir music. Wireless microphone to be ordered, with a cap of $500 for Ms. Underhill to use in the computer lab. Rene Harrington will put a flier together for Graduation DVDs to be purchased. Movie night for 4th & 5th graders will be Monday Feb 9. Meeting adjourned.
