In addition to successfully completing the Smart Card fundraiser, students must participate in 6 out of 8 service projects in order to attend the end of the year reward trip. This year’s service projects and due dates are listed below. **Please be advised that we strictly adhere to ALL due dates unless arrangements are made prior to that due date.
1) Collections for School Nurse ($2) Due Date – September 30, 2009 2) Students bring in loose change to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation of Tennessee. 3) Canned Food Drive (Students donate two cans.) Due Date – October 30, 2009 4) Thanksgiving Letters to Soldiers Overseas (Students write a letter to a local soldier serving overseas) Due Date –November 19, 2009 5) Toys for Tots (Students donate one or more new or lightly used toys) Due Date – December 17, 2009 6) Book Donations for Underprivileged Children (Students donate two lightly used or new children’s books) Due Date – January 21, 2010 7) Valentine’s Baskets/Cards for Nursing Home Residents (Students stay after school and create Valentine’s Day cards and baskets for local nursing home residents. *Jr. Beta will supply all materials) Due Date – February 11, 2010 {due to inclement weather students create a card to be turned in by Feb.12, 2010} 8)School Clean Up Day (two hours on Saturday) Due Date – March 27, 2010 {date change- March 31, 2010 (Wed) 3:15-4:15 p.m. OR April 1, 2010 (Thurs) 7:00-8:00 a.m. OR April 1, 2010 (Thurs) 3:15-4:15 p.m.}
