About Mrs. Scott

My hometown is Ashland City, Tennessee. I graduated from Austin Peay State University with a BS degree in History. I am certified to teach History and Geography.
I love spending time with my husband, Terry, my two children, Julie and Jessica, and three grandchildren, Emma, Emrie, and Cali as well as my favorite (and only) son-in-law, Drew.
My hobbies are working with computers, cake decorating, and nearly anything that involves creativity.
The reason I teach is because I love working with young people. It is a privilege to see students transform from children to responsible young adults. I want to make a positive difference in my students' lives. I have been inspired by the following quotes:
"I always wondered why somebody doesn't do something about that. Then I realized I was somebody." -Lily Tomlin
"Loving a child doesn't mean giving in to all his whims; to love him is to bring out the best in him, to teach him to love what is difficult." - Nadia Boulanger
