I am Kim Knight. I graduated from Western Kentucky University with a BS in Elementary Education and received a MA in Instructional Effectiveness from Trevecca Nazarene University. This is my 17th year to teach. I began teaching Kindergarten at Bransford Elementary in Springfield and did so for 5 years. I asked for a transfer to ERES and this is the beginning of my 12th year. I am also a former graduate of ERHS. So I feel at home here. I am among many dear friends and family. Teaching 2nd grade at ERES rocks!!
I have been married to my wonderful husband, Randy, for 17 years. We have 2 terrific boys. Dalton is 13 and Drake just turned 9. They both attend school at East. They keep me hopping.
Some things I love are: going to church (I attend Orlinda Church of Christ, please come for a visit any Sunday or Wednesday), spending time with my family, teaching, chocolate, Dr. Pepper, the beach, traveling, and working for The Pampered Chef as an independent kitchen consultant.
I look forward to getting to know your child and instilling in him/her the value of knowledge. I get excited when I see children 'learning'. I am a firm believer that every child can learn, at his or her own pace. I also want for each child to feel comfortable to ask questions or ask for help.
