SPI'S being tested at this time:(solar system)

0607.6.1 Use data to draw conclusions about major components of the universe. Students should be able to tell difference between a comet, meteor, meteoroid, meteorite, and asteroid.

0607.6.4 Explain the phases of the moon using a model of the earth, moon, sun.Students should be able to identify which phase of moon by looking at an illustration or photograph, draw specific moon phases, and know the order of the moon phases.

0607.6.7 Describe the causes of a solar/lunar eclipse.Students should be able to use models of Earth, moon, and sun to explain the positions of those bodies during a solar eclipse and during a lunar eclipse. Students should be able to identify (using an illustration) a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse.

0607.6.5 Illustrate the positions of the earth, moon and sun during specific tidal conditions. Students should be able to understand the relationship between ocean tides and the moon's position as it revolves around Earth. Students should understand that the moon phase determines the type of tide.
