This week students have revised their "sloppy copy". On Friday, they are to have their final draft. Students will staple their sloppy copy to the final. I will be using a rubric to assess their writing.
Students have learned about "hooks" to grab the attention of the reader. A thesis statement must be present in Paragraph 1 and rephrased in the concluding paragraph. The topic we have been writing about for this two weeks is: "My Favorite Things to Do on Saturdays."
