On Thursday, April 11, 2013 White House Heritage High School held their fourth annual People's Choice Awards, an event where teachers and administrators recognize one outstanding student each.

Jo Byrns Elementary Student receives national recognition

On March 8, Jo Byrns Elementary School sixth grade student Hallie Liebengood was recognized nationwide when the school received a Shout Out from the weekly current events video produced by Flocabulary.com. The shoutout was in recognition of Liebengood’s cartoon submission to the program.

Krisle Elementary Offers Extended Learning Clubs

Students at Krisle Elementary are participating in their second year of enrichment clubs. Teachers and administrators, desiring to give every student opportunities for extended learning in an area of student-interest designed the program, which meets for one hour each month.

East Robertson High School Sixth GRADERS VISIT JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT BIZTOWN

On Tuesday, March 19, the entire ERHS sixth grade class assumed jobs and took over Junior Achievement Biztown in south Nashville. JA Biztown contains 14 businesses which the students run for one day. The goal is to pay off their business loan.

Board of Regents official educates educators

Dr. Robbie Melton , Associate Vice Chancellor of eLearning and Emerging Mobilization Technology for the Tennessee Board of Regents, spoke to administrators recently regarding cutting edge technology for the classroom. The gathering was the result of a meeting with Technology Supervisor James Marshall and one of his staff with Dr. Melton at a recent Mobility Summit. After meeting and interacting with Marshall, Melton expressed an interest in forming a partnership with RCS as a K-12 system.
