Student Expectations
1. You will be respectful of every person you meet, including yourself.
2. You will do your best work, without complaining or excuses.
3. You will seek out resources to help you, be it a teacher, parent, or other resource.
4. You will use quiet voices and actions at all times in the classroom. At times, you will be silent.
5. You will have your materials and homework with you in class, everyday, without making excuses about why you don't have what you're supposed to.
6. You will follow all school and county rules. If it's a rule in the handbook, it's a rule in the classroom.
7. You will remain in your seat unless you have raised your hand and have been acknowledged.
8. You will be in your seat and working on your warm-ups/other assignment when the bell rings.
9. You will come to me FIRST when there is a problem with another student that you can not handle, or if you are confused about something I said.
10. You will do what it takes to be organized, responsible for yourself, and helpful to others.
11. You will handle any rewards or punishments you receive calmly and graciously.
12. You will NEVER throw anything, even a paperwad into the trash can.
13. You will only have food or drink in the room when it is snack time, or you have earned a reward.
14. You will NEVER handle another person's belongings (or the school's belongings) unless you have permission. Then, you will treat that item gently and correctly, as if it were your own.
15. You will treat the school atmosphere and physical items in the school gently and correctly. The best way to do this is to NOT touch an item unless you actually need it.
16. There will NEVER be cheating. Cheating means you allow someone else's work and effort to come across as your own, and that is dishonest. It's like lying.
17. There is ONLY one good reason to turn in late work -- when you have an excused absence. You have 2x the number of days missed to make up missing work, take tests, and complete/present projects. If you are absent on the day of a test/project/activity that you previously knew about, you are expected to complete the missed test/project/activity the day you return. NO EXCUSES!
