Robert F. Woodall PTO: Home
Dear Families of RFWE:

On behalf of the 2010-11 PTO board, I would like to welcome those who are just beginning their time here at Robert F. Woodall Elementary, as well as those who are returning for a brand new school year. We are off to a great start already! The establishment of White House Heritage Elementary for grades 3-6 has given us the unique opportunity for two PTO boards to work together in accomplishing goals that will support and enhance the educational experience of elementary-age students in our community.

Our PTO is dedicated to partnering with administrators, faculty and staff to ensure that Robert F. Woodall Elementary continues to be a great place for our children to grow and learn. These days, schools are asked to do more with less and our help is needed more than ever to fill in the gaps. The PTO provides the framework for fundraising and volunteer efforts for the purpose of purchasing instructional items and educational tools and resources that would not otherwise be available within the school budget. Upcoming fundraisers will benefit accelerated reading, improvements to the school grounds and playground, and classroom projectors.

If you are the parent or guardian of a student at Robert F. Woodall, you are automatically a member of the PTO! Your membership is free, but your support is very valuable. Because the PTO is a volunteer organization, its success is dependant on parent participation. To us, there are no “outsiders”. We are parents coming together to work toward common goals in the interest of our children. Being involved is a great way to get to know more about your school, the staff, and the students. Volunteers are very much needed and always appreciated.

We also realize that people have busy schedules and may not be able to volunteer as much of their time as they would like. Here are a few other ways you can help:

- By attending PTO meetings.
- By providing financial support.
- By attending special events and fundraisers.
- By supporting your child’s participation in PTO events.

Please join us this school year. It takes everyone doing a little, so that together we can do a lot!

Best Wishes,

Jennifer Bennett
PTO President
