I believe EVERY child can learn.
I believe no child should be compared to another child, especially siblings.
I believe in constantly praising children for their accomplishments and efforts.
I believe teaching is more than a job with summers off and long breaks. It is much more important than that. I believe children learn through play. I believe children need to spend more time outside.
I believe connections between home and school help the child learn what is expected. Parents should contact a teacher about concerns and a teacher should be able to do so as well.
I believe children will strive to meet your expectations, so set them HIGH.
I believe teachers must evaluate why students did not grasp a concept and then take steps to reteach that concept. I do not believe in medicating children or labeling children, but I do believe in getting them whatever help is necessary in order for them to be able to do their best.
