Section Properties
Every page or section on your web site has properties. The name of a section is one of these properties. To edit the properties for a section you need to click the "Properties" link (in the fourth column) for that section on the main configuration page.

Name
This is the name of of the section as it will appear on the site's navigation menu.
Versions
This applies to text/image sections only. With versions turned on you can have multiple versions of a text/image section and swap them out whenever you want.
Navigation
This setting controls whether a section is visible in the navigation menu or not. A hidden section is still accessible if someone knows the URL to the page or has bookmarked the page.
Style
Each section can have its own unique style that overrides the style setting in Overall Appearance. Be warned that if you set the style of a specific section and later change the style for your site the style for that section will not be changed.
Description
With the exception of a List of Links or Files section the description field is a place for your own private comments about the purpose of the section.
Access
Each section is openly available to all visitors by default. SiteMaker does allow you to restrict access to sections of your web site so that only visitors with a user name and password can those pages. This allows you to post sensitive information on your site that the general public doesn't need to see.
The Text/Image and Data Access section takes this idea a bit further by allowing you to specify who can edit the content of these sections in addition to granting reading privileges.
HTTPS
This does not restrict access, but it does display the section over a secure connection--perfect if you are collecting information on a data access section.
