About Contributors

Contributors are the least trusted users that you can have with editing access to your site. When they visit your site and log in they will see an "Edit..." link at the bottom of each Text/Image section. Clicking Edit allows them to edit the contents of the section. These users cannot access the Main Configuration Page of your site. Here's what Editors can do:

• They can create a new versioin of that section.
• They cannot alter the current version. When they try to they automatically create a new version of the page which is not allowed to be the current version until someone with more privileges makes it the current version.
  
• They cannot designate which version is the current version.
• They cannot view non-current versions.
• They can upload new files.
• They cannot lock/unlock versions.
• They cannot delete versions.

Keep in mind, Contributors must be given privileges for each section you want them to have editing access.
