Accessing the States

As discussed on the Data Access Sections page, you will probably have more than one section for each data table. Here are is a listing of sections created for accessing the States data table and the reasoning why they were created.

State Management

This section allows most anything to happen to the data. Records can be added, edited, deleted, and imported. As a result access to this section is restricted under the section properties to prevent vandalism to this data.

The 50 States

This section is open to the public. You can browse and search, but you cannot edit.

In single record view the true value for the Original Colony field is replaced with "One of the original 13 colonies." The false value is replaced with "Admitted to the US later."

The Original Colonies

This section is identical to The 50 States and accesses the same data table. The difference is that you are restricted to just viewing the original 13 colonies.
