Starting a New Version

As previously stated, all Text/Images are created with Versioning on by default. Unless you choose to have a particular section "act like a wiki" you will need to tell SiteMaker to create a new version of a section. Starting a new version of a section is easy. When you are editing the contents of a section you simply check the "save as new version check box" before submitting the changes.

When you do create a new version SiteMaker will prompt you to name the version and decide whether to lock it and make it the current version. The default naming scheme for versions is Version 1, Version 2, Version 3, ..., Version N. You can replace this text with whatever you want.

Using the save vs. save as anaolgy, If this box is left unchecked to are simply saving your web page. If this boxe is checked you are doing a save as to the page.
