Notices and Community Resources

Doctor causey headshotDuring this unprecedented time, the primary concern of the school district is the health and safety of everyone in our school family and in our community. In response, we have organized emergency feeding sites throughout the county for all students. These sites will begin operation on Monday, March 23. Additionally, we are opening the Family Resource & Parent Center on a limited basis to assist with family needs. The district website contains details on these programs as well as a listing of other county resources.

Following spring break, we are providing students and families with academic resources to keep students engaged while we are out of school. For March 23 - March 31, academic enrichment activities have been posted to the district website for student and family use.

Students are provided 30 minutes of instruction beyond the state requirement during each school day. This extra time allows the district to stockpile days. Stockpiled days will meet state instructional requirements through April 1. The State Department of Education will provide districts with guidance to develop instructional plans if needed for an extended school closure. We are committed to maintaining clear communication and providing needed resources to all employees and families throughout this difficult time.

If you have any questions, please call the district office or reach out to me by email.

Director of Schools
