Mission and Philosophy

The mission of the Robertson County RISE Program is to recognize, identify, and serve intellectually-gifted students from all socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. We strive to develop individual talents, both educationally and emotionally, through a qualitatively differentiated curriculum with advanced content, process, and product. Emphasis is placed on critical/creative thinking and problem solving, while optimizing leadership skills through opportunities and experiences in a safe and nurturing environment.

Robertson County's priority is to engage like-ability peers with scholarly pursuits to allow for hearts, minds, and passions to be stimulated while actively pursuing a variety of disciplines. With this in mind, we acknowledge that intellectually gifted students have a need for differentiated curriculum as they learn at an accelerated rate and have wider interests and abilities to think with greater depth. We are dedicated to providing a continuum of services to develop and enhance creative thinking, problem-solving, investigating topics in-depth, and applied critical thinking to advanced content.
