In the spring of 2022, the Tennessee State Legislature passed Public Chapter No. 978, allowing students and parents to request additional time at the end of each subpart, if needed, to complete the assessment.
·
The amount of Requested Time is calculated at 20% additional time after the standard testing time is completed.
·
The Requested Time begins immediately following the end of each subpart.
·
The test administrator will read testing directions that offer the requested time to all students in the testing room.
This additional time is offered to every student taking the test. A student with an Individualized Education Plan (IEP), 504 plan, or Individual Learning Plan (ILP) with the accommodation of Extended Time will receive their determined extended time as outlined in the plan. Requested time remains an option after extended time is completed but is still calculated at 20% of the standard time.
Requests must be submitted no later than 4:00 p.m. on November 18, 2022.
