Robertson County high school basketball coaches put together a
preseason jamboree on Saturday, Nov. 13, that was held at White House Heritage
High School.
In addition to providing an opportunity for all RCS high school
basketball teams to showcase their talents, all event-generated funds were
donated to the Stephanie Mason Memorial Scholarship Foundation.
The scholarship was created following the sudden death of this beloved
long-time RCS educator, supervisor, and assistant director. Student recipients of
the scholarship must be majoring in education upon graduation from high school
and meet a list of academic qualifications.
The scholarship amount of $1,000 is awarded to the recipient annually
throughout their college education as long as the qualifications continue to be
met.
The monies from this recent basketball jamboree totaled $1,380 and
will be added to the scholarship fund.
