Greenbrier Middle School Cheer Team Registers Top Ten Finish In National Competition
After
competing regionally and finishing in the top tier of contestants, the
Greenbrier Middle School Cheerleaders
traveled
to Disney for Nationals competition, February 10-12.
For
their first day of competition, they would have to place against 30+ teams, 3
times over a 13-hour period in order to advance. The girls completed prelims,
advanced to semi’s and then rounded the day off competing in semi”s for the
traditional division. They advanced to finals for Game Day and were one spot away from
advancing to finals in Traditional.
Ultimately,
GMS cheer finished off placing 7th in the Nation in their Game Day division.
Making
it to Finals at the National level is a major achievement all by itself. Finishing
in the top 10 nationwide is an amazing accomplishment for any cheer team and this
team represented their school and district with distinction.
