Blacks represent nearly 8% of the population, including more than 21% in Springfield, while a growing Hispanic and LatinX population now totals 7.5% of the population. Robertson County’s diverse economy has attracted a number of well-known companies. Appliance manufacturer Electrolux, with 3,400 workers, is the county’s largest employer, followed by Macy’s logistics center and NorthCrest Medical Center. Access to major roadways like Interstate 65, I-24 U.S. Highway 41 and U.S. Highway 431 is a big benefit for people who live in Robertson County and the companies that have settled here.

Robertson County Schools, which serves more than 11,000 students, provides a number of specialized programs to help students get on the right track.

Robertson County’s agricultural roots have cultivated a healthy agritourism industry, with opportunities to visit farms and pick sunflowers, peaches, blueberries and a variety of other crops. A signature agritourism attraction is Honeysuckle Hill Farm, which has a pumpkin patch that draws 70,000 people over a six-week period. Bell Witch Cave near Adams is a popular destination for visitors.
