The
Board recognizes the link between student wellness and academic
achievement. In order to implement overall wellness for students, a
Student Wellness Policy (policy number 6.4003) has been created. This
policy can be found here.
This policy states that an advisory council shall be established to
serve as a resource to school sites for implementing policies. The
School Health Advisory Council consists of individuals representing the
school and community, including parents, students, teachers, school
administrators, school board members, health professionals, school food
service representatives, and members of the public. Notice of all
Advisory Council meetings will be posted here and all stake holders are
invited to attend meetings. Please contact Coordinator of School Health
Services, Dawn Callas, at [email protected] or 615-384-0152 with questions.
