Textbooks in Robertson County Schools
The Robertson County School System adopts new textbooks and instructional materials following the Tennessee Department of Education’s adoption process. Textbooks are adopted on a cycle; however, that timeline may be extended at the state level.
The State Textbook and Instructional Materials Quality Commission prepares a recommended textbook list in the fall of an adoption year and submits it to the State Board of Education for consideration. Once approved by the State Board, districts follow state procedures to adopt instructional materials.
