Textbooks in Robertson County Schools
The Robertson County School System adopts new textbooks and instructional materials following the Tennessee Department of Education's Adoption Process. Textbooks are adopted on a cycle but that timeline can be extended as needed at the state level. Current Adoption and Implementation Cycle (tn.gov)
The State Textbook and Instructional Materials Quality Commission prepares a recommended textbook list in the Fall of an adoption year and sends this to the State Board of Education for their consideration. Once the State Board of Education approves the list of textbooks and instructional materials, districts follow procedures set by the state to adopt these materials. Textbook Services (tn.gov)

The state textbook adoption process is administered in accordance with the statutory requirements as set forth in Tennessee Code Annotated, Title 49, Chapter 6, Part 22 and the Rules and Policies of the State Textbook and Instructional Materials Quality Commission. 2023 Math Adoption Results
The 2022-2023 Textbook adoption process took place in the area of Mathematics for implementation during the 2023-2024 school year. The Math selections were approved by the Robertson County Board of Education on April 10, 2023.
