Suicidal Ideation and Self-Harm

Recognizing the warning signs of suicidal thoughts is critical in supporting students at risk. The district follows a protocol in cases where a student displays at-risk behaviors or suspicion of risk of serious self-injury by indicating through actions, speech, or writings that he or she may be at risk of physically harming himself or herself. Early intervention can save lives and promote emotional well-being.
