Peer Model PreK Program
What is a Peer Model?
A peer model is a student who demonstrates appropriate communication, play, social-emotional skills, and self-regulation. These students serve as role models for their peers with disabilities, helping to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Why Are Peer Models Important?
Peer models play a crucial role in fostering a positive learning atmosphere. By showcasing positive behaviors and interactions, they help students with disabilities develop essential social and communication skills. This peer interaction encourages empathy, understanding, and mutual growth among all students.
