COPPA and Safety Compliance for
External Instructional and Non-Instructional Resources

Web-based instructional resources

Web-based instructional resources for use in Robertson County Schools must be approved by the applicable department Supervisor prior to use in the classroom and vetted for COPPA/Safety Compliance by the RCS Technology Department if login is required.

Non-instructional web-based resources requiring login

Non-instructional web-based resources requiring login must be vetted for COPPA/Safety Compliance but do not require approval by the direct Supervisor if the resource will not be used for instructional purposes (e.g. website on which classroom supplies are ordered).

Non-instructional web-based resources that do not require login will not need COPPA/Safety Compliance vetting.

If your resource has not yet been approved for use in RCS, you must first complete that process by reaching out to your instructional Supervisor. Please complete this form to the best of your ability
Seek approval prior to purchase of any software
Please be aware that if approved, you will be responsible for securing funding for this resource should that be necessary
