Robertson County Marching Band Exhibition
Robertson County Schools will be hosting the 18th Annual Robertson County
Marching Band Exhibition on Tuesday, September 14th at 7:00 pm at the
Greenbrier High School Football Stadium.
“This is an opportunity for the high
school marching bands to perform their 2021 programs for the other band
students and parents of the county, as well as for the community,” said J.R.
Baker, Robertson County Schools Fine Arts Coordinator. “Every school does not
play each other in football, and they do not all attend the same competitions,
so this event offers our students the opportunity to see the hard work their
peers have been putting into their 2021 program since the middle of July.”
Baker explained further benefits, saying, “The exhibition also utilizes a
panel of band teachers from outside the district to provide feedback to each
band, so that they can better prepare for their upcoming competitions.”
This is the eighteenth year that RCS has held this exhibition, and it will
consist of performances by the East Robertson, Jo Byrns, Springfield, White
House Heritage and Greenbrier Band Programs. Tickets may be bought at the door
for $3.00. School age and younger can
attend at no charge.
Proceeds from this event will be donated to the band program at Waverly High
School in order for them repair and replace equipment from the flooding that
occurred in August.
Baker concluded by saying, “This is a great time to come out and support all
of the band programs of Robertson County. These students work hard to put
together an exciting show for their crowds at football games, and this is one
more opportunity to showcase their dedication and commitment to excellence.
Being able to support the band program at Waverly is an added benefit, so I encourage
everyone to come out on September 14th and show their support.”
