Sierra Tomblin, a senior at East Robertson High School, signed a soccer scholarship agreement with Brescia University in Owensboro, KY on Wednesday, March 16.

Tomblin, who over the past 5 years has played every position for ERHS except goal keeper, says she is excited at the prospect of playing on the college level while working on a degree in pre-physical therapy.

“It’s taken a lot of work to get to this point,” she said, “but I’ve worked my way up, and am looking forward to playing at Brescia.  I appreciate all the help I’ve gotten along the way.”

As only the second ERHS grad to sign a soccer scholarship, Tomlin is also unique in being the only female to play on the school’s football team.  She served as a kicker for the varsity team this year and in her last game went seven for seven in extra point kicks.

Tomlin was voted all-tournament in the district last year, and received the district’s Offensive Player of the Year award this season.  She  plans to eventually join the Air Force and use her degree to work in a VA hospital as a physical therapist.
