The more than 90 students were inspired to think of the year in terms of values and to key in on those that will help them succeed in the goal of a diploma.

After viewing a brief video, students were given a blank note on which to write themselves a challenge or pledge.  These were collected and will be given back at the end of the year on graduation.

Principal Mary Cook and Assistant Principal Holly Michie, along with several advisors and faculty stood on stage in the auditorium as students filed by and verbally pledged their commitment to graduate this coming fall.  A graduation gown that will hang in the school was provided for students to sign as a written back up to their verbal declaration.

Cook said this is the first time the school has provided this type of emphasis on graduating.  All classes were challenged throughout the week, with the seniors meeting on the final day.
