Greenbrier High School senior Cameron Grogan signed a baseball scholarship offer with Trevecca Nazarene University on Monday, May 9, in the GHS library.

Grogan is a left-handed pitcher who does double-duty as a center fielder as well.  He’s played ball since age 6, and has played for both Greenbrier Middle and High Schools as a starter.

Coach Tommy Williamson said that Grogan’s scholarship was not something that was given to him, but that it was earned.  Citing Grogan’s discipline of coming in on weekends and off days for extra pitching and hitting practice, Williamson said the scholarship was reflective of his commitment.

As a sophomore and junior, Grogan was named All District, and he was named as an All Tournament player last year, as well.

Grogan says he is planning to major in accounting when he begins university next year.
