Greenbrier Graduates Confer Honorary Diplomas
Posted on 05/20/2016

Greenbrier High School graduates had an opportunity to express gratitude to a special teacher on Friday, May 13, when the school held its annual Honorary Diploma Day.

Each graduate was able to present an honorary diploma to the teacher who most shaped or influenced him or her during their years at GHS.

The day was emotion packed as one by one graduates filed into classrooms throughout the school to publicly (and sometimes tearfully) thank specific teachers for their character input.2

After their expressions of gratitude, graduates visited Greenbrier Elementary and Watauga Elementary schools, where they were cheered and honored by those young students.  In all, it was a day that the grads will remember as part of completing their final steps on their way to graduation.
