On November 10, 2015 approximately 400 people gathered at Greenbrier High School for its seventh annual People's Choice Night.

Forty-seven students were recognized based on a variety of reasons from the teachers and staff. There was a reception for the families prior to the awards ceremony. Several community leaders, central office staff, and school board members were in attendance at the event.

Rebecca Warren, junior, said, "I felt very surprised but mostly honored. The fact that a teacher noticed me trying to shine a light in the school and recognized me for it let me know that I am doing my job. I love the idea of presenting awards to students who not only work hard but have positive attitudes and are good examples in school."

People's Choice Night is part of the school's Jostens Renaissance program. Renaissance focuses on recognizing and rewarding students. GHS has been recognized as a national Renaissance school. If anyone would like to make a donation to the program please contact the school at 615-643-4526.
