On Friday, November 6, Krisle Elementary hosted 3rd grade students from Krisle, Cheatham Park, and Crestview Elementary schools for a tour of four countries (Israel, India, China, and Japan) on the continent of Asia.

“In order to help bring the social studies standards to life, we wanted to provide students with cultural, hands-on experiences,” stated Sara Bigger, Assistant Principal of Krisle.    Students traveled from country to country with passport in hand participating in dance, literature, art, music, traditional dress, and language activities.

Lauren Drake, 3rd grade teacher at Krisle, stated, “Through the support of the Robertson County Chamber of Commerce’s Redi-grant and a host of community and parent volunteers as well as Springfield High School students, we were able to host a fun-filled learning experience that hopefully the students will remember for years to come.”
