Larry Staggs has been selected as the next principal of
Springfield High School to replace Teresa Leavitt who has moved to the Central
Office as Supervisor of Student Services.
Staggs earned his undergraduate degree at Middle Tennessee State
University in 2012, and followed it with
a Master of Education in School Administration from Lipscomb University in
2015. He has taught since 2012, and has been with
Robertson County Schools since 2016 when he became an assistant principal at
SHS.
Dr. Chris Causey welcomed Staggs, saying, “Mr. Staggs' background
as a high school teacher and SHS assistant principal will serve him well as he
continues the growth that SHS shown over the past few years.”
Staggs is excited at his new responsibilities, saying, “I am
blessed to serve as the next principal at Springfield High School. I look
forward to taking SHS to the next level by focusing on academic press
and a culture of pastoral care. I believe with deep conviction that all
successful schools have a primary focus on these two areas, and I am
excited to begin the work of forming and bringing to life our mission and
vision at Springfield High School.”
