Robert F. Woodall Students Raise Funds For Australia Wildfire Victims

Robert F. Woodall Elementary School students recently participated
in a school-wide fundraiser to help provide support for wildlife victims of the
wildfires that devastated Australia.
The student body spent a week learning more about Australia’s
wildlife, drawing animals from the continent, and talking about how the recent
fires destroyed the homes of many of them.
Kindergarten students drew kangaroos, first grade students drew koala
bears, and second grade students drew reptiles. During the week students also
learned about the many species that exist nowhere else in the world.

As a result of the week’s activities, students demonstrated
their compassion by raising $481.45. The school’s PTO president is coordinating
sending the funds to the appropriate organization for maximum benefit.
