Donald Casey Kuhn has been chosen as interim assistant
principal at Springfield High School, replacing Margaret Thompson, who is
retiring.
Kuhn comes to the district from Arizona where he has served
in education since 2008. He has most
recently been the assistant principal at Thompson Ranch Elementary School in
Surprise, AZ, a position he held for the past 4 years.
A graduate of Adams State College in Alamosa, CO, Kuhn
earned his master’s degree in Physical Education from Arizona State University
Polytechnic in 2012, and is currently enrolled in the doctoral program in
Organization Leadership at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ.
This will be Kuhn’s first position with Robertson County
Schools and he said he is looking forward to his new responsibilities.
“I am extremely grateful and humble to be a part of the
Springfield High and Robertson County community,” he said. “I look forward to
meeting everyone and supporting the positive culture at SHS!”
Director of Schools, Dr. Chris Causey, announced Kuhn’s new
role on Thursday, Aug. 1, saying, “We are proud for him to join our family.”
